Lions rescued from circus in Santander will be taken to EE. UU.
The animals will be temporarily taken to the Hacienda Napoles and then transferred to Denver.
A group of nine lions were rescued on condition of malnutrition in a circus in the department of Santander, will be taken temporarily to the Hacienda Napoles in Antioquia way, then the Sanctuary of Fauna and Flora in Denver (USA), reported the authorities.
Lions, six
males and three females, were in precarious health care and so were seized by
authorities in control of the region. However, before his transfer to Hacienda
Napoles, the former property of the drug lord Pablo Escobar Gaviria, now
converted into a theme park, the lions were moved to the Care Center Rating
Fauna Corporation Defense Meseta de Bucaramanga (CDMB) to begin his recovery.
